The dragon-toothed toad is an amphibious wild animal of the Anura order and the Ceratophoridae family. It lives in the spring streams of high mountains at an altitude of 3120-3750m or under stones or mud pits in the water ponds of swamps.

The toad moves slowly and lays eggs on the bottom of the water stone or the roots of mosses or weeds at the edge of the water pond. There are as many as 5-6 egg groups under a stone. Two egg groups were measured, with a total of 1980 eggs. The eggs have developed to the neural tube stage in early June. Tadpoles live in spring ponds or under stones by the stream, and their number is very small.
