Huangdao longnose bugs generally live in burrows on fine beaches and muddy beaches in mid-tide and low-tide areas. It moves slowly and feeds on organic matter and microorganisms in the sand and mud. Distributed in the intertidal waters near Jiaozhou Bay, Shandong, China.
In 1989, the Huangdao longnose bug was listed as a first-level national protected animal in China.
