Dinosaurs with thorns on their backs are a type of armored dinosaurs, mainly including the following types:
1. Stegosaurus: Stegosaurus dinosaurs are a type of large herbivorous dinosaurs with many large and sharp thorns and horns on their bodies. The most famous representative is Triceratops.
2. Sauropods: Sauropods are also a type of large herbivorous dinosaurs with a row of bony protrusions on their backs, shaped like tooth-like combs. The most famous representative is Spinosaurus.
3. Armored dinosaurs: Armored dinosaurs are a type of small to medium-sized herbivorous dinosaurs covered with hardened scales or bony plates. Some species also have sharp thorns on their backs, such as Herbivorosaurus.
The spikes and armor on these dinosaurs were usually used to protect themselves from predators, but they may also have been used for competition and deterrence among their own kind.
