The elephant is a noble mammal, often considered the largest animal on land. They have a huge body, long trunk and sinuous tusks. There are two species of elephants: African elephants and Asian elephants.

African elephants are generally larger than Asian elephants, weighing up to 7 tons. They have broad ears and curved tusks. African elephants usually live in grasslands and forests and like to live in groups, and each group may consist of dozens or hundreds of elephants.

Asian elephants are slightly smaller, usually weighing between 2 and 5 tons, have rounder heads and less wrinkled skin than African elephants. Asian elephants are mainly distributed in South Asia and Southeast Asia. They also like to live in groups, but the group size is usually relatively small, generally consisting of 10 to 20 elephants.

Elephants are herbivores, feeding mainly on trees, shrubs and herbaceous plants. They are very intelligent, have good memories and complex social behaviors. Elephants are currently endangered due to overhunting by humans, loss of wild habitats and other threats.
