Anhui Yaozhi is an amphibian of the family Salamandridae and genus Yaozhi. It lives in subtropical mountain forests at an altitude of 1000–1200m, and is often seen in bamboo forests or under dry branches and leaves. Adults live more on land during the non-breeding season, and are often seen in small ponds or the edge of small ponds, or on the wet ground under stones, or in wet and rotten corn straw piles during the breeding season.


Listed in the second level of the "List of National Key Protected Wildlife in China".

In China, it is distributed in Anhui (Yuexi, southern Dabie Mountain area).
