The head is flat, the tip of the snout is cut, and the nostrils are close to the tip of the snout; the skin is rough, and the whole body is covered with warts of relatively uniform size; there are no rib grooves on both sides of the body, and the grains are unclearly separated from each other, almost forming a longitudinal belt; the neck folds are clear, The warts on the ventral surface of the body are obvious and not in the shape of horizontal constrictions. The back of the body and tail is dark brown, the ventral surface of the body and around the anus are light dark brown, and only the fingers, toes, palmar processes, plantar processes and the lower edge of the tail are orange-red or orange.

Endemic to China, distributed in Gansu (Wenxian), Sichuan (Qingchuan, Wangcang, Jiange, Pingwu), Chongqing (Yunyang, Wanzhou, Fengjie), Guizhou (Dafang, Zunyi suburbs, Suiyang, Leishan).

Lives in mountainous areas with lush forests at an altitude of about 940m, mainly terrestrial, and hibernates on land.
