The species is found in West Malaysia. The auricle and tail are very distinctive and easy to recognize. The population is extremely rare. Cave-like bats can intermix with a variety of bats, such as the Great hoofted bat (<Hipposideros armiger) and the Asian long-winged bat (<Miniopterus fuliginosus). It has a hibernation habit. Feeds on small insects.
Three-leafed hoofed bats live in caves in tropical and subtropical monsoon rainforests, hundreds of them even in groups, and other bats live in a common hole, but each live in a "square, not mixed, and more than live deep inside the hole. The litter is born in June to July, 1-2 per litter, and its manure is called night bright sand, which can also be used as an efficient fertilizer.
