Small bat, distributed domestically in Taiwan and abroad in Vietnam. It is a typical nocturnal forest bat, but its main habitat is not well defined, and a few individuals have been found living in caves. Emits a typical short-duration and wide-band echolocation sound wave, often hunting insects in forest clearings.
The body length is 45-47mm, the forearm length is 30-36.5mm, the tail length is 30-33mm, and the female is larger than the male. The head is brown, the rostral end is prominent, the nostrils are extended into short tubes, and the dentition on the side of the head is almost equal in height. The dorsal hair is brown with metallic luster, and the ventral hair is light and often grayish white. The face is dark brown, the hair is thick and soft, the auricle is short relative to the body size, the ear is longer than the ear width, and the tip is blunt. The tragus is long and narrow. The alar membrane is wide and round, connected to the base of the toe, and the tail membrane and the foot are rich in fine and dense hairs.
