2023-02-09 16:25:03 162

Fanjingshan Siphonophorus is similar to white-ventral and yellow-thorax siphonophorus, but there are some differences in body length, abdominal hair color, upper incisor and total cranial length. He et al. (2015). The body size of the samples collected from Hunan Province was small. The body length, tail length and cranial length of the samples were smaller than those of the white-vented and yellow-thorax bats from the type origin, but the thorax and abdomen of the yellow-thorax bats were brownish yellow (Kuo et al., 2009).

This species is a new species published by (He et al., 2015), and the model origin is Fanjing Mountain, Guizhou, China. Huang Taifu et al. (2018) reported a new record in Hunan, which is also the first discovery of this species outside the model's origin.

Fanjingshan tube-nosed bats are medium sized with forearms 40-42mm long. The nose is protruding in a short tubular shape, opening to both sides, and there are warts protruding behind it, and the snout and lower lip are hairy. The dorsal hair is brownish yellow, the ventral hair is dirty white, the alar membrane is dark brown, the interfemoral membrane and the hind foot are densely brown-yellow long hair, and the calar border membrane is absent, and the caudal membrane is protruding from the calar tip and caudal vertebrae. The skull is raised, the sagittal ridge and the herringbone ridge are not obvious, the nasal rostral part is wider, the internasal groove is obvious, and the frontal arch is slender. Gear type: 2.1.2.3/3.1.2.3=34. The upper incisors are distinct, with the outer tip higher than the inner tip.
