Murina harrisoni Detailed Introduction

A new species published by Csorba & Bates (2005) from specimens collected in Kililong National Park, Cambodia, and classified into the "<cyclotis" group, Wu et al. (2010) reported a new Chinese record found in Jianfengling, Hainan. The type specimens were caught in mist nets in small rivers with many non-adult broad-leaved forests (Csorba & Bates, 2005). The specimens from Jiangxi and Guangdong were collected by harp net. The Hainan specimen was collected in September 2008 and captured by the bat harp net in Jianfengling National Forest Park, near a narrow valley in a tropical rain forest with a humid climate, indicating that this species of bat is an arboreal bat.
