What animals are there in paleontology?

Paleontology refers to ancient creatures that have become extinct. Most of these creatures had many unique characteristics, sometimes quite different from modern creatures. Here are some famous paleontological creatures:

6. Ammonites: Molluscs that lived from the Ordovician to the Cretaceous. Their fossils are widely distributed throughout the earth.
