How to drive birds away from airports

At airports, birds pose a very significant threat as they can collide with incoming and outgoing aircraft, causing casualties and property damage. Therefore, airports usually adopt some measures to drive away birds to ensure air safety. Common methods include:

1. Acoustic bird repellent: Use sound equipment to play various sounds such as gunshots, shotguns, and owl hoots to scare away birds.

2. Visual bird repellent: Set up inflatable models, colorful cloth strips, light sticks and other items around the flying area to increase the sense of spatial depth and make birds mistakenly believe that there are obstacles in the space and avoid them.

3. Bird hounds: Special dogs are trained to find and drive away birds. The presence of dogs will frighten the birds and cause them to escape from the aircraft operating area.

4. Birds of prey: Introduce natural predators of birds, such as eagles, harriers and other raptors, around the airport to scare away and prey on birds.

5. Staff inspections: Inspectors regularly inspect the flight area, report the presence of birds in a timely manner, and take measures to remove them.

It should be noted that these methods are generally used in combination to better prevent birds. At the same time, these methods also need to be appropriately adjusted and implemented according to different situations.
