According to 2021 statistics, Shandong Province's beef production reached 613,000 tons, ranking second in the country. The eastern region of Shandong mainly develops Simmental cross-bred beef cattle, while the western region mainly develops improved Luxi cattle and Limousin cattle. In addition, there are Bohai black cattle, Mengshan cattle and other breeds in Shandong, which also enjoy a certain degree of popularity in the country. In order to improve the efficiency of the cattle raising industry, Shandong's cattle raising methods have gradually developed in the direction of concentrated breeding in communities and cooperatives. As the cattle industry has become more commercialized, beef production has also increased. Shandong Province has made a lot of efforts in optimizing the structure of the cattle breeding industry and improving breeding technology, laying a solid foundation for the development of the cattle industry in Shandong.

3. Hebei Province (558,500 tons)

Hebei is a major cattle-raising and milk-producing province in my country, with a long history of development and rich breeding experience. Hebei has a large number of beef cattle, with beef production reaching 558,500 tons in 2021, ranking third in the country. According to our understanding, Hebei’s beef is mainly concentrated in Chengde City, Shijiazhuang, Tangshan, Hengshui, Handan and other areas. The beef is mainly imported beef breeds such as Simmental cattle, Angus cattle, Charolais cattle, Limousin cattle and Piedmont cattle. There are also local fine-bred cattle Luxi cattle and Nanyang cattle. Interestingly, more than 50% of the cattle come from other provinces, which also shows that the breeds of beef cattle in large-scale fattening farms in Hebei are very mixed, with hybrid cattle as the main breeding targets.

4. Xinjiang (485,000 tons)

Xinjiang is one of the five major pastoral areas in my country. It not only has vast natural grasslands, but also has a highly developed planting industry, which has created extremely favorable conditions for the development of the beef cattle breeding industry. As of 2021, Xinjiang's beef cattle production has reached 485,000 Ton. Among them, the Yecheng County Cattle Farm in Kashgar Prefecture in southern Xinjiang is the largest cattle breeding base in Xinjiang. It is said that there are more than 10,000 cattle there. They are either taking a leisurely walk or quietly in an 8-kilometer area. Lying on the ground to rest, such a spectacular scene is really breathtaking.

5. Yunnan Province (420,100 tons)

Yunnan is one of the important beef cattle breeding provinces in my country. According to statistics in 2021, Yunnan's beef production reached 420,100 tons. Yunnan has abundant water and heat resources, as well as high coverage of vegetation and strong ecological environment recovery capabilities. These superior natural conditions provide a good foundation for the development of grass-feeding animal husbandry. It is worth mentioning that beef cattle breeding in Yunnan is mainly concentrated in Qujing, Dali, Wenshan, Honghe, Chuxiong, Baoshan and Kunming. Among them, Qujing City occupies an important position in the beef cattle breeding market in Yunnan Province. For a long time, Qujing City's main production indicators such as beef cattle inventory and beef output have been among the best in the province. This fully demonstrates Qujing City’s leading position in beef cattle breeding. In addition, Wenshan cattle in Wenshan Prefecture are also an excellent local beef breed in Yunnan Province. This breed has a large population in the southern region and has preserved its complete genetics. Its unique breed characteristics have also won it widespread recognition.

Sichuan is located in the southwest region and has a unique natural environment. It has become one of the important provinces in agriculture and animal husbandry in southwest my country. According to 2021 data, Sichuan's beef production reached 368,600 tons, and the development potential of the beef industry has attracted much attention. Cattle in Sichuan Province are mainly distributed in Aba, Garze and Liangshan prefectures. However, the cattle industry in Aba State not only prides itself on quantity, but also wins through the pursuit of quality. For example, the "Maiwa Yak" is a local signature breed and enjoys a high reputation.

8. Henan Province (355,300 tons)

Henan has become a major grass-feeding animal husbandry province in the country. It is located in a prime location suitable for cattle and sheep breeding and is the national grain core area. In addition, Henan also has abundant straw feed resources, and its cattle and sheep breeding volume has been among the top in the country for many years. 9. Liaoning Province (315,000 tons)

Liaoning is one of the provinces with the largest beef production in my country. As of 2021, Liaoning's beef production has reached 315,000 tons. Liaoning is located in the southern part of Northeast China. Its terrain is dominated by "six mountains, one water and three fields", and its climate is a temperate monsoon climate. This place has hot and rainy seasons, abundant sunshine, high accumulated temperature, relatively long winters, relatively warm summers, relatively short springs and autumns, and four distinct seasons, making it very suitable for raising beef cattle.

It is understood that several main breeding models have been formed in Liaoning cattle farms. The first is the self-breeding and self-supporting model of beef cattle breeding, which means that the farm breeds, feeds and fattens the beef cattle itself to achieve full self-sufficiency. The second is the short-term intensive fattening model. Under this model, the farm performs short-term intensive feeding of beef cattle to achieve higher slaughter weight and quality. In addition, there is also a basic female beef cattle breeding model, which mainly breeds and breeds cows. Through breeding and breeding, it provides better varieties and quality for the beef cattle industry. Finally, there is the shelf beef cattle breeding model, which is a relatively advanced breeding model that uses modern feeding technology and equipment to improve breeding efficiency and output through precise feeding and management.
