The museum has a collection of dinosaur fossils from southern China, such as South China Dragon and Velociraptor. The most famous dinosaur fossil is the "Yangjiang Dinosaur" found in Yangdong County, Yangjiang City, Guangdong Province. It belongs to the ceratopsian family, has a huge body, and a skull up to 1.64 meters long. It is one of the most complete and best preserved ceratopsian fossils known. In addition, Guangdong Provincial Museum also displays other dinosaur-related cultural relics, such as dinosaur egg fossils and dinosaur footprint fossils.
