If you have caught crucian carp and want to keep it alive, here are some ways to help you temporarily raise crucian carp at home:

1. Breeding container: Prepare a container of appropriate size, such as a fish tank or a plastic bucket, to provide enough space for crucian carp. Make sure there is enough water in the container for the fish to swim freely.

2. Water quality management: Keeping water quality clear and stable is key. Use a chlorine remover to treat chlorine in the water, which can remove harmful substances from the water. Keep the water at a suitable temperature (generally between 18°C and 24°C) and test the water quality regularly. If necessary, periodically replace a portion of the water to maintain water quality.

3. Provide oxygen: Crucian carp needs an adequate supply of oxygen. You can use a fish tank filter or an oxygen pump to increase the oxygen content in the water, which will also help keep the water clean.

4. Provide appropriate feed: Crucian carp is an omnivorous fish and can eat plant and animal foods. You can provide crucian carp with appropriate feed, such as fish food, earthworms, plankton and vegetables. Ensure the right amount of feed and avoid overfeeding to avoid water contamination.

5. Provide shelter and hiding places: Add an appropriate amount of plants, stones or other decorations to the crucian carp’s breeding container to provide shelter and hiding places for the crucian carp. This can provide the crucian carp with some sense of security and simulate the natural environment.

6. Observation and health care: Observe the behavior, appetite and appearance of crucian carp regularly. Watch for any signs of abnormalities, such as difficulty breathing, gill problems, or physical abnormalities. If necessary, seek advice from a veterinarian or professional with experience in keeping fish.

Please note that these methods are suitable for short-term raising of crucian carp, and long-term raising requires the provision of more suitable fish tanks and facilities. If you plan to keep crucian carp for a long time, make sure to provide appropriate fish tank size, water quality management and other necessary feeding facilities to ensure the health of the crucian carp.
