    1. Bats “Fly With Their Hands”

    Bats are the only mammals capable of true flight, and their wings are very different from those of birds.

    • If you look at a bat’s wing on an X-ray, you’ll see something familiar:
      it’s basically a hand with extremely long fingers.

    • Between those elongated fingers stretches a thin skin membrane (patagium) that forms the wing.
